The last time we checked in on this Vashon Island remodel, the restored windows had not yet been installed, and the walls were down to the studs. Now, the exterior stucco patches and repairs have been completed, and most remaining work is on the house’s interior. The floors are getting patched, and the little round sunroom is being restored.
Here the contractor, David Hall with Guild Hall Construction, calls attention to the eave construction and water proofing as we prepare to re-enclose the sun room.
The office is receiving a fir floor to match the existing bedroom floor. We are installing a mix of material salvaged from the job site and other salvaged materials. Once they are sanded and finished they should blend with the remaining original floors.
Stucco repairs and patches are complete and most of the restored windows have been re-installed. Paint will not happen until we have warmer drier weather.
